CHRISTMAS STOCKING COURSE

Duration: 1 session

Length: 2.5 hours

Level: Beginner–Confident beginner

What’s included: Fabric for 1 stocking, pattern & instructions

Learn how to sew a classic Christmas stocking from start to finish. You’ll work through the pattern, cutting, construction and finishing details with guidance throughout the session.

Once you’ve completed your first stocking, bring your own fabric if you’d like to make additional stockings.

You’ll leave with:

• 1 completed Christmas stocking

• Your stocking pattern to use again

• The skills to make more at home

Some basic sewing experience is required.

What You’ll Learn

  • Cut fabric accurately and work with seam allowances

DRAWSTRING BAG WORKSHOP

A beautiful bag that doubles as gift wrapping — and can be used again and again.

Come and learn how to make your own lined drawstring bag from fabric. Simple to sew and endlessly useful, these bags are perfect for wrapping gifts, storing treasures, organising your home or taking your essentials with you.

You’ll learn the basic techniques needed to cut, sew and construct the bag, including creating the casing and threading the drawstring. It’s a great first sewing project and a chance to play with colour, stripes and fabric combinations.

WHAT YOU’LL MAKE

You’ll make a beautiful drawstring bag to take home.

Use it as reusable gift wrap instead of disposable wrapping paper, then give the bag a second life as storage, a travel bag or a little everyday pouch. Make one for yourself, or make a collection for gifts throughout the year.
